Before I came into the picture, the Maltese branding agency Hangar had gone through big changes, both in size and in purpose. But their website didn't reflect that yet.
Having boiled their structure down to its essential components, they were now a tightly-knit team of three: a creative director, an illustrator and a brand designer.
When I arrived, initially as an apprentice, I discovered they had been designing dozens of gorgeous brands backstage, without posting about them. The plan was to reveal them with an entirely new website, reflecting their modern approach, which inevitably meant...motion. Making it all mooove. That was my job.
To be clear, this means I didn't design any of these brands, but merely brought motion to them. (Which is the reason why I hadn't posted them until now, thinking it may be a little misleading. But you're smart. You get it.)
I was the puppet master, but the puppets had already been built.
Without further adieu, here's a little preview of hours of After Effects fun-time, spent between sunny Malta and snowy Stockholm.
