Memisa is an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) that promotes universal health coverage with a focus on the most vulnerable populations. Memisa reaches more than 7 million people in 5 African countries and in India.

For this video, my focus had to be on their main country : the Democratic Republic of Congo. This was the main project I was trusted with during my internship at Paf! agency: it proved to be quite a challenge since this was essentially the longest after effects project I've had to work on (and the one that's taught me the most, too). I only had a couple of weeks to finalize this video.

My first challenge was to summarize this page about their activities in Congo for it to fit in under a minute - and they do a lot. I created a storyboard from that script, discussed it with the art directors, made a simplified version from the changes we discussed and I was good to go : illustrations, then animation.

For clarity, I decided to show their activities using three main "axis" : equipment, education and support. Since this is a belgian organization, the default language was french, but it should also be available in dutch and english.

Check out their website memisa.be, because from all the research I've made on them, they seem like a genuinely helpful and wholesome organization.
